Frequently Asked Questions
WHO ARE YOU?
SANTU DELIRIA is a performance arts collective based in Los Angeles providing intimate and unusual experiences. Since 2017, we have produced over 20 unique experiences through many different mediums, primarily live interactive theatre.
WHAT HAPPENS IN THERE?
Each experience is different, however you can generally expect to encounter a variety of surreal scenarios in which you may be interacted with verbally and/or physically as they unfold. In fact, all five or six of your senses are likely to be engaged at some point or other.
IS THIS AN EXTREME HAUNT?
No, broadly speaking. While our experiences tend to be full-contact and some may include extreme elements (physical aggression, uncomfortable situations etc.), our focus is on providing surreal and exciting experiences rather than testing your endurance. Those expecting an extreme haunt experiencee are likely to be underwhelmed.
The intensity of our experiences can often be personalized in advance of a show.
IS IT SCARY?
It could be, although our experiences are not strictly "horror" and our intention is always to entertain rather than terrify. Some might say "weird", "creepy" or even "funny" are more fitting descriptors of our shows.
That being said, these experiences are not for everyone, and we would recommend reaching out to us before buying a ticket if you are unsure about its suitabiliity for you.
IS IT RUDE?
Again, it could be. All our experiences are intended for adults only (18 or older) and some feature crude language, nudity, sexualized scenarios and otherwise "obscene" content. Some, however, are comparatively wholesome - it's best to ask in advance if you're concerned.
DO I HAVE TO GO THROUGH ALONE?
Yes, our experiences are designed for one audience member at a time unless otherwise specified.
IS THERE A SAFE WORD?
The Safe Word for all our experiences is AWAKE. Using this word will immediately end your experience.
We do our best to customize our shows to each person's limits, and we are proud to say nobody has felt the need to use the Safe Word since our debut production.
DO I HAVE TO SIGN A WAIVER?
Yes, all attendees will be required to read and sign a waiver prior to attending each event. We will also encourage you to complete a Comfort & Intensity questionnaire to determine any restrictions you might have (allergies, physical limitations, personal limits etc.) in advance of your first experience with us.
